06 · Pay at Table

The bill settles itself, from the table.

Scan the code, see the live bill, and settle it — the whole thing, an even share or just your own items, with a tip and a proper tax invoice. No waiting for the check, no app, no separate terminal.

How it works

The end of the night, without the wait.

From a code on the table to a settled, invoiced bill.

01

Scan

The code at the table resolves the seated booking and opens the live bill — read-only until the guest chooses to pay.

02

Choose

Pay the whole bill, an even share of what is still owed, or select just your own items. The table can never be charged past the total.

03

Tip

Add a tip if you like — calculated on your own share only, and kept outside VAT.

04

Invoice

A proper VAT tax invoice is issued in the venue's legal identity, on screen and as a PDF.

Capabilities

Real settlement, described plainly.

No app, no scramble for the terminal — just the live bill, a fair split, and a compliant invoice. Wired to Stripe and to the seated booking.

  • The live bill, from the seat

Scanning the table code resolves the seated session and shows what is genuinely outstanding — not a re-keyed total.

  • Three ways to settle

Pay the full bill, an even share of the remaining balance, or just your own items — each guest at their own pace.

  • Never over the total

Shares are capped at what is still owed, so a table can never pay more than the bill.

  • Tips done fairly

A tip applies to the payer's own base only and sits outside VAT, matching the invoice exactly.

  • A proper VAT tax invoice

Every settled bill carries the venue's legal and tax identity, as an on-screen page and a PDF.

  • Attached to the booking

Payment runs through Stripe and travels with the reservation, not in a separate system.

Why it matters

The last five minutes of the visit, handled with the same restraint as the first.

FinanceCompliant by default

Every payment produces a VAT tax invoice in the venue's legal identity — nothing reconciled by hand.

Questions

Pay at Table, answered.

How does a guest pay at the table?

They scan the code at the table. RAYN resolves the seated booking, shows the live bill, and lets them pay the whole bill, an even share or just their own items — with a tip if they choose. Payment runs through Stripe; there is no app to download.

Can the table split the bill?

Yes. Each guest can pay an even share of what is still owed, or select their own items. RAYN never lets the sum of shares exceed the outstanding total, so a table is never overcharged.

How is the tip handled?

A tip is optional and calculated on the guest's own base only — never on other guests' shares — and it sits outside VAT, matching the tax invoice.

Does the guest get a tax invoice?

Yes. Each settled bill produces a proper VAT tax invoice carrying the venue's legal and tax identity, available as an on-screen page and a PDF.

What payment system does it run on?

Payments run through Stripe, started server-side, and every payment travels with the reservation rather than in a separate system.
